| Jakob's Night began their ministry in 1995 on the campus of Columbia Union College. The name comes from Genesis 32 of the night Jakob wrestled with God. Though the group started small in a humble dorm room many years ago, the mission has remained unchanged. Their original music has it's roots and influences ranging from funk, jazz, alternative rock to Gospel. Through the various incarnations of the group, the goal has always been to share their own hopes, dreams, and struggles with God with whoever is willing to listen. By the start of of 2001 Jakob's Night was a true ministry with the talent in place to make the concept for the band a reality. That summer they began to record what was to be their debut CD, Jakob's Night. With impressive initial sales, Jakob's Night started to receive national | ![]() |

Subsequently Jakob's Night was featured in CCM Magazine's Unsigned Artist Link and found themselves opening for such established artists as The Katinas. The ministry opportunities have abounded with Jakob's Night touring consistently throughout the Eastern U.S. Jakob's Night hopes to bless the world with the news that the most powerful being in the universe seeks a personal relationship with each and every one of us. | ||
