Common Clay is based in Frederick, MD and was formed in 2000. Since that time they've been very active in outreach ministry throughout the Mid-Atlantic area. Common Clay is a four piece band using modern music ministry showing their commitment to evangelism of the unsaved and encouragement to the believer through entertainment. Common Clay chose their name believing that music has the capability to reach beyond denominational walls and give believers from every walk of life an opportunity to come together and worship regardless of denominational
differences. "This way we come just a little closer to the heart of Jesus: that we are all common clay and look to be molded by the hand of the Master Potter, Jesus Christ". Common Clay has finally gone into the studio to record the material they've been performing and re-working resulting in an amazing collection of rock-centered songs in a variety of styles. Still You Rescued Me  has a seamless continuity worthy of a big scale production. In fact, all the songs run together without breaks similar to a concept record. You won't find any clinkers here. The professional songwriting of Phil Minni has suprising depth for a debut CD. Paul has an outstanding vocal quality that's complimented by John Wise's beautiful harmonies. You'll find Paul's tasteful and proficient lead guitar work forefront but never overbearing. The Wright brother's (excuse the pun) rhythm section provide a solid structure throughout. Common Clay has accomplished the rare achievement of a project evangelistic in nature that's uncompromisingly entertaining. Common Clay's mission is to provide an evangelical outreach ministry through modern music that will touch the spiritual needs of all who care to listen.
