The Crist Family Singers was founded in 1987 by Tami Crist with a strong desire to reach the lost with the redeeming message of the Gospel. The Crist Family Singers is a bit of a misnomer consisting of three families including the Starkel's and the Bourland's all  stemming from the Crist's family tree. This ever growing ministry and family is not your run of the mill Southern Gospel group. Stylistically, The Crist's run the gammut from straight-up Country, to Country Rock, to Southern Gospel to Contemporary Christian to Bluegrass all with equal conviction and profiency. What a fun record to listen to!  It's
not often that one comes across such passion and versatility especially in a first recording. Great songwriting, first class musicanship, tasteful melodies and beautiful harmonies are the common threads that weave Heaven Train together into one cohesive project. One can't help but wonder what took The Crist Family Singers so long to record their original brand of Country Music. Heaven Train is receiving National airplay and garnering well deserved critical acclaim. Get on board because the Heaven Train is leaving the station and won't be stoppin' until it reaches it's final destination.
