A Lemmon, SD native, Rory Hoffman discovered his musical talents at the age of four by creating his own musical playing style. Since his hands were too small to fit around the neck of the guitar, he laid it across his lap and has played it that way ever since. Since then his horizons have expanded to where he now commands an arsenal of over fourteen instruments. After attending college for two years and majoring in music, he decided that it was time to pursue his musical aspirations and record his first solo album. Despite numerous setbacks and changes, Blind Faith was finally recorded which includes traditional hymns as well as heartfelt originals. In the fall of 2001 Rory headed back into the studio to get started on his second album Fishin' which l features 10 songs with 7 written or co-written by Rory. They range from the spirited Nashville Nights, to the self-reflecting My Humble Prayer that depicts the real meaning of having to be patient and understanding. "For me, waiting on the Lord didn't mean practicing harder, buying and learning to use better equipment, and ardently praying... I pray these songs will bless and inspire every person who hears them". The first single I Should be Fishin' was released in May and is receiving airplay on several stations throughout the Midwest. Fishin' is slated for full release in September 2002.
