Terry Taylor & Friends * Acoustic Stage * July 7th
Terry
Scott Taylor is a living legend. As chief leader of such
bands as Daniel Amos, The Swirling Eddies and The Lost
Dogs, he and his compatriots rewrote the Christian rock
paradigm, giving a voice to frustrated young Christians.
Taylor is one of the main reasons alternative Christian
music even exists. Over the course of 25 years and as
many records, Taylor has, with inimitable wit and lyrical
prowess, exposed the collective neuroses and hypocrisies
of the American Church. With his undeniable ability as a
producer, Taylor has brought out the very best in many of
the bright lights of progressive Christian music. As a
songwriter, hes used his philosophical Christian
perspective and sardonic wit to fully explore the art of
musical satire. Along with performing with DA and The
Lost Dogs, Terry appeared with Steve Hindalong (The Choir),
Mike Roe (77s) and Phil Madeira for a very well attended
and thoroughly engaging set on the acoustic stage this
year's at Cornerstone Festival. |
