San Antonio's Chris Taylor began his professional music career in 1992 with the fondly remembered Love Coma along with Matt Slocumb (Sixpence None The Richer). Few artists combine the passion and fervor of street preacher with lyrical insight of a poet. Chris Taylor is a storyteller with unabashed transparency about his own condition. Making us twinge with shame he still draws us nearer. Chris has a unique ability to slip prophetic gems into the middle of a pop anthem or folk ditty that slips off his tongue and into our hearts. With a critically acclaimed award winning recording under his belt the best is yet still to come. Chris is now moving toward a radio friendly rock and folk, lyrically capturing brokeness, tenderness and reckless abandon. Caught in the delightfully confusing modern world where faith and humanity often collide, Chris paints songs with such a wide colorful palette that emotions run wide and deep. Chris Taylor was acompanied by an all-star makeshift "orchestra" consisting of Jeff Elbel (Ping), Michael Roe (77's) and Cason Jay Cooley (The Normals). Many of the musicans at the festival migrated to the Gallery Stage joining the already bulging crowd for a brief but completely electrifying set at this year's Cornerstone.
