| Switchfoot is Tim Foreman, Jon Foreman, and Chad Butler, three guys from San Deigo who love to play music, surf and honor their Creator. Seminal groups like XTC and Sugar are mentioned as descriptions of their style, alongside newcomers like Everclear and Bloomsday. However, the band collectively admits to never having heard of these bands. The trio instead claims a heritage tied to inventive classic pop/rock bands such as The Police and songwriters like Stevie Wonder. Their debut album, The Legend of Chin, is a modern and sometimes quirky blend of alternative, rock, pop and jazz, reflecting their musical diversity and their view of life from a Christian world perspective. |

| Born out of what was originally an industrial thrash project, Denver, Colorado's Five Iron Frenzy has become one of the most recognizable names in ska music today. Five Iron Frenzy carves out ska-inspired punk tunes that accent the band's crazy personality while containing a deeper spiritual significance. Having been on some of the biggest ska and punk tours in both the Christian and mainstream market, Five Iron Frenzy is a band committed to reaching the lost as evidenced by their recent mission trip to South Africa. "If we can just come out and be who we are and do the right thing, then God has totally blessed us." Last year Five Iron Frenzy packed the Encore 1 Tent to overflow with enthusiastic fans and curiousity seekers. At this year's Cornerstone there was room to mosh at their relentless Main Stage performance. The audience members in the front rows were thoroughly splattered by their pork and beans pinata. |
